Introduction to molecular inorganic chemistry

In recent years, metallodrug development has progressed, delivering many molecules in the clinic for therapeutic and medical imaging diagnostic uses. Several research groups in well-established medicinal inorganic chemistry groups are consistently generating high-quality SAR data, which represents an ideal starting point in the use of computational approaches to enhance the discovery of novel medications, as discussed below. The instrumentation, source technology, and user accessibility of synchrotron and neutron facilities around the world have progressed significantly over the last 40 years, and further significant advancements are ongoing. These resources now enable inorganic chemists to conduct a wide range of complicated experiments on a daily basis that were previously impossible.
A number of studies have been conducted in recent years to examine water chemistry in private water supply wells in areas of unconventional oil and gas production. Many of the wells in these studies were only tested once, and it is unclear how representative the results from a single sample are given the possibility of temporal fluctuation. To assess this issue, the temporal variability of water chemistry from fourteen private water wells in two study locations in southeastern New Brunswick was tracked monthly for a year.
