A review of earth science and its potential benefits and obstacles

The rapidly developing subject of citizen science focuses on the collaboration of enthusiastic amateur researchers (citizen scientists) and experienced researchers to produce new data and knowledge. Earth science-related citizen science initiatives have been steadily expanding in recent years with the goal of increasing knowledge and awareness.
For effective conservation, monitoring threatened species is essential. Citizen science can fill in the information gaps left by the absence of monitoring data collected by professionals or point out areas that may require additional surveying. However, little is known about the taxonomic and geographic scope of citizen science initiatives.
Participation of non-specialists in scientific research is a crucial component of citizen science. Within the confines of the project's structures, the citizen participates as an observer or experimenter. The development of enabling technology is to blame for the current increase in project activity.
